Bradley Marchant

Bradley works for Sanofi-Aventis Asia Pacific R&D based in their Shanghai headquarters with responsibility for expanding Sanofi’s drug development in the Region.
From 2007 to 2010, he was Pfizer’s Head of Clinical Development Asia responsible for building the clinical development function in the Region, based in Shanghai. He first joined Pfizer in U.K. in 1995. In 1996, he became European Team Leader and subsequently Global Candidate Team Leader for Tikosyn, leading the development team to approvals in the US and EU. He then held a series of leadership roles within clinical development including Site Clinical Leader for the Cardiovascular, Gastro-intestinal, Genito-urinary and Sexual Health Therapeutic Areas in Sandwich, UK. Bradley led the implementation of Enhanced Clinical Trial Design; placing model based approaches at the heart of drug development.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Bradley worked as a clinical cardiologist having graduated in Medicine in 1985 from the University of London. Between 1985 and 1995, he trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at a number of London teaching hospitals and gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1988. He spent 3 years in academic and clinical research leading to an MD thesis in 1994. Bradley has published extensively with 22 papers (8 first author), 1 book chapter, 30 abstracts and 5 reviews. He was awarded the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine in 1999 and in 2005, Bradley was appointed Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
Bradley maintains a specific interest in the QT interval as it relates to drug development. He has lectured on external courses and interacted with Regulatory Agencies to discuss QT issues.
